About

If you've ever thought, "All the Airtable training is for everyone except animal welfare," you're in the right place. Airtable Basics is a practical, beginner-friendly course created for shelter and rescue teams who need systems that match the work they do every day. Most Airtable tutorials are built around corporate examples-sales pipelines, marketing calendars, product roadmaps-so animal welfare professionals are left to guess how to apply the tool to intake, foster placement, medical tracking, volunteer coordination, transport, and case follow-up. This training closes that gap with examples and best practices that reflect real animal welfare workflows. In this self-paced program, you'll learn the Airtable fundamentals-bases, tables, fields, and records-and how to structure information so it stays consistent, searchable, and easy to maintain as your organization grows. You'll build views for different roles (intake, foster, medical, admin), use filters, sorting, and grouping to surface urgent priorities, and create forms that help staff, fosters, and volunteers submit clean, complete information. You'll also get a clear introduction to linking tables (animals, people, cases), basic formulas, and simple automations that reduce missed steps and improve accountability. By the end, you'll be able to design a scalable Airtable base from scratch and apply repeatable best practices-so your team spends less time chasing data and more time supporting animals and the people who care for them.
